Oodaalolly and Filipinta Beauty Release Limited Edition Chocolate Lipstick Collection 

The Filipino-owned chocolate brand, Oodaalolly, and the Filipina-owned cosmetics band, Filipinta, come together to announce their first collaboration—a limited edition collection of lipstick available for purchase Friday, November 04, 2022 on Filipinta.com. 

SAN FRANCISCO, California - Is it chocolate? Makeup? Or both? 🍫💄 That question will be answered on Friday, November 4th, when Filipinta Beauty and Oodaalolly Chocolate release their co-branded collection of themed cosmetics paired with fine chocolate made with premium ingredients. 

Food and beauty might seem like an unlikely pairing. Still, the combination can bring like-minded people together—precisely what happened earlier this summer when Oodaalolly co-founder Jeremy Burnich reached out to Filipinta co-founder Hana Kirchhoff on Instagram.  

“We were iterating on new box designs,” notes Burnich. “I saw that Hana was Filipinta’s creative director, and I loved her packaging, branding, and vision. As a fan, I reached out one day to ask her advice—which she graciously provided.” 

What happened after was utterly unexpected.

“Hana is always pushing the creative envelope, and when she proposed working together on something, the answer was absolutely—we were 100% up for anything.” 

That “something” turned out to be a collection of chocolate-scented lipsticks—continuing a popular Filipinta theme of food-related collections. According to Hana, food tells the story of the Filipino people, and it’s a big part of the culture. And besides, Hana is a self-described chocolate fiend. 

In early August, Hana teased her first mockups of these fun crossover products to build buzz and gauge interest. The response was positive and powerful.  

This lipstick collection is particularly meaningful for Oodaalolly.  For years, one chocolate company, in particular, has been known for its chocolate kisses.  Thanks to this partnership with Filipinta Beauty that might change. 

After countless hours of fine-tuning, they are ready for release.  The collection features five shades inspired by Oodaalolly’s award-winning chocolates.  They come in richly adorned and eye-catching packaging featuring colors and patterns inspired by Indigenous Filipino textiles. Additionally, the lipstick is vegan and cruelty-free, keeping with the ethos of Filipinta Beauty.

Each lipstick comes with one 25g mini-bar of chocolate crafted with premium cacao from the Philippines, made in small batches using only the finest ingredients. Together, Oodaalolly and Filipinta hope this collection will grow awareness of their companies and, more importantly, the rich and diverse culture of the Philippines.
