Makers' Cache 2022 - 12 Months of New Flavors—All Plant-Based

Our Makers’ Cache chocolates are small batches of experimental or extra seasonal flavors. It's an opportunity to create and offer something that adventurous chocolate lovers are intrigued to try.

A Look Back At Twelve Months of Chocolate

In 2021, we created some memorable new flavors. The favorite was probably our Ube Butter Cream bar. Our Magical Mushroom bar received the most restock requests by far. 

The award for most controversial has to go to our Pandan bar.  Folks either loved it or thought it tasted like soap.  For real!  That’s a pretty tight needle to thread so the next time we tackle pandan, we’ll be doing more taste tests with more people before it goes live.  But, live and learn, right!

Now We Look Forward 

In 2022 all Makers’ Cache products will be 100% plant-based.  

Any “milk chocolate” will use alternative milks—coconut, oat, soy, etc. Any inclusion will also be strictly vegan. Sorry folks, no ube buttercream. 

Why are we doing this?  First, there’s a trend in our industry to make more vegan-friendly products.  Unfortunately, many of those products aren’t very good. 

We strive to make chocolate that you don’t want to put down, and we think we can make some tasty bars that also happen to use no animal products.    

Our second reason is that it’s a challenge.  Working with a constraint or within a set of rules drives creativity, and we love being creative with chocolate.
