Oodaalolly x Filipinta — Chocolate? Makeup? Or both? 🍫💄

Food and beauty might seem like an unlikely pairing. However, it was exactly this combination that brought two like-minded people together.

Or like-minded brands. That’s precisely what happened earlier this summer when Oodaalolly co-founder Jeremy Burnich reached out to Filipinta co-founder Hana Kirchhoff on Instagram.

“At the time, Hernan and I were going back and forth on our box designs,” notes Burnich. “I had been following Filipinta on social media for a while. I knew Hana was the creative director over there. What she is producing—her packaging, branding, and vision—is some of the most innovative and creative I’ve seen and has been one of my favorites to watch. So, purely as an admirer, I reached out one day to ask her advice—which she graciously provided!”

What happened after was kind of like a dream and utterly unexpected.

Hana Kirchhoff is always pushing the creative envelope, and when she proposed working together on something, the answer was absolutely, 100%, anything you want to do, we are up for anything.

We went back and forth, brainstorming some ideas, but in the end, it was Hana who came up with something genius.

Filipinta has a string of food-themed collections that have garnered media attention around the world. For instance, her banana ketchup lip gloss has appeared in Cosmopolitan and Inquirer covered her lumpia eyeshadow palette and lip tint.

Building on her popular food-related collections, Hana messaged us with something she had come up with that also built on our new branding—a five-shade collection of chocolate-scented lipsticks!

HANA’S INITIAL MOCK-UPS

We loved what she had come up with, so in early August, she teased her first mockups of these fun crossover products to build buzz and gauge interest. The response was positive and powerful.

After countless hours of fine-tuning, it’s time to get these amazing creating out there. The collection features five shades inspired by Oodaalolly’s award-winning chocolates.  They come in richly adorned and eye-catching packaging featuring colors and patterns inspired by traditional Filipino textiles. The lipstick is vegan and cruelty-free, keeping with the ethos of Filipinta Beauty.

Food tells a story.

The invitation to have Oodaalolly join Filipinta on this project has been a dream come true.

One of Oodaalolly’s taglines is “You make the memories. We’ll make the chocolate.”

People are mesmerized by the way Filipinta channels childhood food memories, like buying their favorite snacks at their local sari-sari stores. And being a part of those kinds of memories is a priceless honor for us.

Furthermore, for years, one chocolate company, in particular, has been known for its chocolate kisses.  Thanks to this partnership with Filipinta Beauty that might very well change.

Each Set Retails for $18 at Filipinta.com

Each lipstick comes with one 25g bar of chocolate made with premium cacao from the Philippines, made in small batches using only the finest ingredients. Together, Oodaalolly and Filipinta hope this collection will grow awareness of their companies and, more importantly, the rich and diverse culture of the Philippines.
